{"id":77330,"date":"2021-04-17T13:38:32","date_gmt":"2021-04-17T17:38:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.freeburmarangers.org\/?p=77330"},"modified":"2021-04-23T21:53:53","modified_gmt":"2021-04-24T01:53:53","slug":"burma-army-attacks-continue-kill-maim-northern-karen-state","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wp.freeburmarangers.org\/my\/2021\/04\/17\/burma-army-attacks-continue-kill-maim-northern-karen-state\/","title":{"rendered":"Burma Army Attacks Continue to Kill and Maim in Northern Karen State"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Burma Army Attacks Kill and Maim as over 24,000 People Are in Hiding in Northern Karen State<\/h2>\n<h6>17 April 2022<\/h6>\n<h6>Northern Karen State, Burma<\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On <strong>15 April<\/strong> the Burma Army sent over 700 troops in two columns of 300 and 400, along with over 100 mules and horses carrying supplies, from the Kyaukkyi area east into Karen State to support the ongoing attacks there.<\/p>\n<p>On<strong> 11 April<\/strong> 2021, at 1530 local time, Military Operations Command (MOC) 4, Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 704 of Burma Army from Bu Pho Lu camp shot and killed Saw Maw Bo, a 44-year-old man from Leh Poe Der Village, Kay Pu Village Tract, in Dwelo Township, Papun District. He was working as a village security. Saw Maw Bo leaves behind a wife, two daughters and three sons.<\/p>\n<p>On <strong>12 April<\/strong> 2021, at 0800 local time, Burma Army troops fired mortars into Maw Lo Klo Village. One round exploded and wounded 15-year-old Saw May Ka Lo Oo.<\/p>\n<p>On the same day, at 09:25am local time, Burma Army MOC 4, LIB 709, from their camp in Kaw Daw Koh, Dwelo Township, Papun District, fired mortars at civilians working in their rice fields. Four rounds were fired, with no casualties reported.<\/p>\n<p>On the same day at 16:15 local time, Burma Army troops from Papun, Infantry Battalion (IB) 19, mortared into Tow That Pu and Doo Preh Kyo villages. Villagers fled into the jungle with no casualties reported.<\/p>\n<p>On <strong>13 April<\/strong> 2021, at 14:15 local time, the Burma Army fired mortars into Tha Mer Su Lo Village.
