Bawgata camp commander Major Tha Win Htun and troop commander Wein Ya Htun, both from Infantry Battalion (IB) 124, stopped KNU members from teaching\u00a0Let Kaut Wa and\u00a0Ma Au Bin villagers about the NCA. An entourage of police, plainclothes intelligence personnel, four fully equipped soldiers, and the Burma Army commanders stopped the program before it started. The major said the Joint Ceasefire Monitoring Committee (JMC) was responsible for informing civilians and not the KNU. They\u00a0arrived with 20 soldiers and told the committee the program was over and that if they wished to do the program, they must coordinate with the JMC.<\/p>\n<p>On\u00a0Feb.\u00a04\u00a0the KNU committee met with people at Theit Yet Chaung\u00a0Village to inform residents about the NCA and how the villagers can participate. During the program, Burma Army IB 124 commander Lt. Col. Htun Htun Linn arrived and told the committee they were not allowed to conduct the program unless he gave permission. \u201cI strongly stop the program and this kind of task cannot be done among the people,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-75903\" src=\"https:\/\/www.freeburmarangers.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Karen-State-2020-March-K3-NCA-prohibited-K5-resupply-05.png\" alt=\"Karen State 2020 March - K3 NCA prohibited K5 resupply-05\" width=\"800\" height=\"599\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wp.freeburmarangers.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Karen-State-2020-March-K3-NCA-prohibited-K5-resupply-05.png 800w, https:\/\/wp.freeburmarangers.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Karen-State-2020-March-K3-NCA-prohibited-K5-resupply-05-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/wp.freeburmarangers.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Karen-State-2020-March-K3-NCA-prohibited-K5-resupply-05-768x575.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Muthe Road \u2013 Troop and Food Resupplies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Free Burma Rangers reported on Burma Army\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.freeburmarangers.org\/2020\/03\/13\/burma-army-kills-forest-worker-reinforces-mu-traw-district\/\">troop movements and attacks along Muthe road<\/a>\u00a0on\u00a0March\u00a013. The Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) fears\u00a0the Burma Army\u2019s continued reinforcements along Muthe\u00a0Road and that it could mean the Burma Army will force the road\u2019s construction.<\/p>\n<p>On\u00a0March\u00a014, five Burma Army trucks with 100 soldiers arrived at Muthe\u00a0Post.
