The policemen were on motorcycles and identified as Second Lieutenant Tin Soe, Sergeant Soe Tet Nai and Corporal Kyaw Min Htaik and another man from Mungji Police Station. A pistol and two hand grenades were recovered from those arrested.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">On Sept. 28, a Burma Army element of approximately 80 troops, from Infantry Battalion (IB) 105, confiscated mining equipment that was being operated without permits in the vicinity of Namsi Awng and Nam Hta Kawng. The seizure was reportedly ordered by the Northern Command Base.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Hpakant Township (Kachin State)<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">On Sept. 27 at 1930 hrs, Ku Ta (male, 16) and Hkaw Ta (male, 20) from Block 4, Mawtit Kung Village, were injured when they were caught in a landslide in the Gwihka jade mining area.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Significant Military Actions<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Theinni Township (Northern Shan State)<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">On Sept. 6 at 0700 hrs, a combined force of\u00a0Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army\u00a0(MNDAA), TNLA and Arakan Army (AA) troops exchanged fire with Burma Army troops in the vicinity of Kawng Hkam Bum (47Q MF 35300 82000).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Kutkai Township (Northern Shan State)<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">On Sept. 24 at 0530 hrs, exchanges of fire occurred in the vicinities of Kuthkai, Loi Sam Sip Bum, and Lagaw Paju villages between a TNLA element of 200 soldiers and an estimated 70 Burma Army soldiers from IB 45 (under LID 99). The TNLA element was from 113th\u00a0Battalion under 5th\u00a0Brigade.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">On Sept. 21 at 0715 hrs, elements of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) 9th Battalion exchanged fire with Burma Army elements in the vicinity of Nawng Jang Hkyet.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">On Sept. 18 at 1300 hrs, approximately 60 Burma Army soldiers from LID 99 exchanged fire with an estimated 40 MNDAA soldiers from 5th\u00a0Brigade at Ura Bum (a Lisu village).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">On Sept. 17 between 0730-0800 hrs, an estimated 80 Burma Army soldiers from LID 99 were conducting a troop movement from Loi Byi Village (LF 785573) were attacked by TNLA 666th\u00a0Battalion at the head of Loi Bang Yang Village.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">On Sept. 16 at 1400 hrs, an element of approximately 60 Burma Army soldiers from LID 99 clashed with elements of the MNDAA at Bang Um Bum above Banggai Ja Maw.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">On Sept. 14, Burma Army soldiers located in Ma Dung (47Q LF 08300 71300) discharged 5 shells (unidentified mortars or artillery).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">On Sept. 14, between 1200-1600 hrs, an estimate 100 Burma Army troops from LID 101 exchanged fire with TNLA soldiers in the vicinity of Da Wu Village.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">On Sept. 13 between 1300-1330 hrs, Burma Army soldiers from LID 101 coming from Nam Hkri (47Q LF 07700 43400) were ambushed between Nam Hkri and Tawng Yu Hpaya by elements of the TNLA 4th\u00a0Brigade.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">On Sept. 13, Burma Army soldiers located in Ma Dung (47Q LF 08300 71300) discharged five shells (unidentified mortars or artillery).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">On Sept. 13, two Myanmar Air Force fighters engaged elements of the TNLA in Kutkai Township with airstrikes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">On Sept. 9 at 1100 hrs, Burma Army troops exchanged fire with TNLA troops in the vicinity of Hpawawm Dahti Village.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">On Sept. 7 at 0930 hrs, Burma Army elements from Light Infantry Division (LID) 99 coming from Loihkri Village (47Q KF 71800 33000) exchanged fire with TNLA troops between Loihkri and Mung Ngaw.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Muse Township (Northern Shan State)<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">On Sept. 19 at 0500 hrs, a Burma Army element of around 60 troops from LID 99 were enroute from Hpawng Seng when they attacked an MNDAA position (estimated 20 troops) in the vicinity of Bang Satai Village.<\/span><\/p>\n<script type='text\/javascript'>\nvar post=eval({\"id\":75003,\"title\":\"Burma Army Incursions Disrupt Daily Life in Northern Burma\",\"subject\":\"FBR: Burma Army Incursions Disrupt Daily Life in Northern Burma\",\"admin_email\":\"info@freeburmarangers.org\",\"admin_name\":\"FBR\"});\n<\/script>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Burma Army Incursions Disrupt Daily Life in Northern Burma 17\u00a0October 2019 Northern Burma Army Crimes Against Civilians Mohnyin Township (Kachin State) On Sept. 29 at 1230 hrs, four Burmese policemen were arrested by elements of the Ta\u2019ang National Liberation Army &hellip;
