{"id":67475,"date":"2013-07-12T20:58:08","date_gmt":"2013-07-12T20:58:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.freeburmarangers.org\/?p=59077"},"modified":"2016-07-26T03:52:15","modified_gmt":"2016-07-26T03:52:15","slug":"death-of-a-ranger-saw-wah","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wp.freeburmarangers.org\/my\/2013\/07\/12\/death-of-a-ranger-saw-wah\/","title":{"rendered":"Death of a Ranger: Saw Wah"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><strong>FBR Report: Death of a Ranger: Saw Wah\u00a0<\/strong><\/h1>\n<address>11 July, 2013<\/address>\n<address>Karen State, Burma<\/address>\n<p>Saw Wah, a 26-year-old Karen video cameraman working in Mergui-Tavoy District, died 23 May 2013, of pneumonia after months of fighting Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, which weakened his immune system.\u00a0 He is survived by his wife and infant son, and his mother and two sisters.\u00a0 Saw Wah served as a Free Burma Ranger on the Ler Doh Soe Township team.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_59079\" class=\"thumbnail wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 243px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/wp.freeburmarangers.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/1-Saw-Wah.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-59079\" title=\"1 - Saw Wah\" src=\"http:\/\/wp.freeburmarangers.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/1-Saw-Wah.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"243\" height=\"235\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"caption wp-caption-text\">Saw Wah<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Saw\u00a0Wah\u00a0was\u00a0active, energetic, smiling and laughing\u00a0as he worked.\u00a0 He was a good cameraman and\u00a0crucial member of his team.\u00a0\u00a0His illness began while he was working for his people inside Burma;
