March 11, 2007.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"caption\"><span class=\"bodyCopy\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/03\/20070312_04.jpg\" width=\"500\"><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"bodyCopy\">The attacking forces occupied the area for several days,   blocking the<br \/>  border to keep displaced villagers from escaping into Thailand.<br \/>  Villagers hid in the jungle while the KNLA attempted to drive the<br \/>  Burma Army back to their camps. The attacking forces consisted of<br \/>  more than 300 soldiers from Burma Army IB 81, under Division 22, as<br \/>  well as DKBA troops. Three resistance soldiers were killed while<br \/>  checking to see if it was safe for villagers to return home. No<br \/>  villagers were injured in the attack.
